For the months of January and February, students in Mary Greene’s class worked on a unit researching Human Rights and Human Rights Heroes. The project is intended to promote awareness of the Civil Rights Movements (MLK), Black History Month, National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, Human Rights Day, and World Day of Social Justice, which are all celebrated during these months. The students each chose their own hero to research and created biographies about how they fought for our human rights and promoted social justice. They did such a great job!
