Due to emergency plumbing repairs, the DCMO BOCES Norwich Campus is closed for Special Education, TLC, GED, and Pathways students only on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. CTE students should report as scheduled. All staff should report as scheduled. Preschool/Daycare will also be open.

DCMO BOCES held a Staff Development Day on Friday at both campuses, with a day of training and discussion. Group sessions in the morning were led by John Whalen (Harrold Campus) and Doug Overton (Pole Campus), co-founders of Edtomorrow, an educational training and professional development company. After lunch, breakout sessions allowed smaller groups to explore and build on the principles and ideas introduced in the morning. We’ve got some great new ideas and resources to try out!

DCMO BOCES proudly participates in NY Thursdays! NY Thursday meals use seasonal New York State foods that are grown, harvested and/or produced in our state. We’ll be serving up our next tasty NY Thursday meal this Thursday, on both campuses and all the schools DCMO BOCES provides school lunch management for.

February is Career & Technical Education Month, and it’s also the month when 8th and 10th grade students from our component districts visit the DCMO BOCES campuses. On these visits, 8th graders get an overview of all the CTE programs, and 10th grade students get to spend more focused time in two programs of their choosing. What a great way to discover how they can turn their passion into a path forward! We appreciate the careful work that goes into planning and hosting these visits, involving our career counselors, work experience coordinators, CTE instructors, Pole and Harrold Campus administration, staff and students, and school counselors from our 16 component districts. DCMO BOCES CTE programs have a lot to offer, and students had a great time learning about them!
