NTHS inductees group photo - Pole Campus

32 students enrolled in Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs at the DCMO BOCES Alan D. Pole Campus were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) on November 20 in a ceremony held at the Norwich campus. The NTHS is an academic honor society for outstanding students in occupational, vocational, and technical programs, recognizing academic achievement, skill development, and leadership. Eligibility requires meeting both national
and local standards, including academic achievement, good character, and strong performance in technical programs.

Monica Towne, Assistant Principal Mark Plescia and NTHS Chapter Advisor Ann French conducted the awarding of certificates to the students, who were congratulated by their program’s teachers. Speakers included a number of the inductees, and included a candle lighting ceremony and recitation of the NTHS pledge.


Those inducted Thursday were Calvin Wheelock, Isabella Clinton and Kiley Simpson, Lillian Funnell and Noah Kresin from Greene Central School; Olivia Palmer, Diaz Liam, Gavin Brown, Brooke Rogers, Erin Nichols, Makenzie Spade, Sarah Kwasnik, Joshua Lindridge, Ash Shaw, Alex Monocoeur, Madison Rotundo, Mya Yantz and Josh Evans from Norwich City School; Miranda Hackett and Jacob Depew from Otselic Valley Central School; Edward Johnson, Flanna Calkins, Jaxon Frellis and Peyton Cummings from Oxford Academy Central School; Austin Clark, Seth Morey, Ty Reihl and Emma Schrader from Sherburne-Earlville Central School; Leland Constable from Sidney; Abigail Bennett from Unadilla Valley Central School; and Michelle Schader and Kaylee Fowlston from Valley Heights Christian Academy.
