November 15, 2021 ADP Student Update

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The district learned today, November 16, 2021, that two students who attend DCMO BOCES at the Alan
D. Pole Campus have tested positive for COVID-19.

The students who tested positive were last in attendance on November 16th. Our school staff followed
COVID-19 protocols, in accordance with the district’s Reopening Plan, and this helped greatly limit the
risk of exposure. We will continue to cooperate and coordinate with the County Health Department.
Under the direction of the County Department of Health, no additional action is necessary at this time.
Should additional actions become necessary, we will immediately notify parents, faculty and staff of any
changes in procedures and protocols.

At this time, following the County Department of Health recommendations, our district will remain open
with our in-person instructional model.. Our Reopening Plan has been designed to reduce risk. We cannot
eliminate all risk, especially outside of our school buildings. However, because we continue to be diligent
in enforcing social distancing, mask wearing, and encouraging hand washing and sanitation, our local
health department said the risk of secondary infection is low. Health officials are completing contact
tracing.

Please note that the federal and state privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally
identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive or release any additional
information.

Since the start of the school year, the district has been thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all portions of
our school building that are in use by students and staff on a daily basis in accordance with guidance from
the New York State Department of Health and the CDC.

For details about our cleaning procedures, COVID prevention policies and more, please see our
Reopening Plan at www.dcmoboces.com.

Any additional questions, including information about testing procedures, can be directed to the County
Department of Health.

Sincerely,

Perry T. Dewey, III
