Dear DCMO Community, 
I was advised today that two of our staff members at the Support Services Center have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and they have been in contact with the Chenango County Health Departments. 
News like this can be received with mixed emotions from our community. As always, the safety and health of our students and staff are our top priority. We continue to work to support our students, families, and employees during this difficult time and appreciate your cooperation. 
We are working closely with the appropriate Chenango County Department of Health and following all of their recommendations for quarantining and deep cleaning of spaces. Through this process the  importance of social distancing and wearing masks (covering nose and mouth) was reinforced.

If you or a family member is exhibiting symptoms of the COVID-19 virus (fever, cough, shortness of breath), please do not go to the emergency room or your health care provider without calling first. They will provide you with further guidance. 
Please remember that social distancing and good hygiene are our best defenses against the virus. Stay home and do not go out into public unless you have to. 
We know this time may be stressful on employees, students and families. If you feel the need to talk to someone, the state has established a Mental Health hotline at 1-844-863-9314.
