The Visual Communications program at the Chenango Campus took advantage of the DCMO BOCES Makerspace’s pre-packaged kits.
The week of December 14th, students had the opportunity to create beautiful ornaments with the hydro dipping kits as well as create Christmas cards with the paper circuits kits.
Students thoroughly enjoyed their time creating unique ornaments. They experimented with different techniques as they became more confident in the process.
Students also had the opportunity to create their own versions of Christmas cards using the paper circuits kits. Integrated Science Teacher, Mrs. Engle-Thomas explained the science behind the project as well as how to best complete the circuits. Students often made more than one card and used their creativity to move the LED bulbs to different parts on their cards.
It was a great way to spend some creative time before the break! Thank you to Ms. Hoag and our Makerspace for making this possible for us.
