BOCES employees act as neutral hearing officers in student discipline hearings.  A student suspension beyond five days requires a Superintendent’s Hearing, and there are special rules for classified students.  Our hearing officers defuse potential conflicts by ensuring that parents and students feel fairly treated by an independent third-party hearing officer in this process
