DCMO Supports school districts throughout the region employing a number of itinerant, or shared, staff who serve multiple districts.  DCMO therapists and specialists provide a variety of services, including:

• Adaptive PE

• Homebound Instructors

• Occupational and Physical Therapists

• School Based Counselors and Psychologists

• Interpreters for the Deaf

• English as a New Language Teachers

DCMO also has classroom teachers for

• Health Education

• Home and Career Skills

• Music

• Physical Education

• Technical Education (Industrial Arts)

• Library Media Specialist

Other specialties or areas of instruction are also available to be provided.

Shared, or itinerant, staff makes sense when the district cannot justify a full-time position, but needs to provide the service or instruction.  Shared staff can be assigned to no more than 80% to a single district and no more than 60% for aid purposes.
