Reading Skills |
The goal of this class is
to develop an individualized program for students who
need help with English Language Arts. Classroom activities will
enhance reading practice. THIS IS A FOUR-WEEK CLASS. |

Math Skills |
Basic and higher level
math skills will be the focus of this class. Students
will be exposed to a variety of materials to reinforce
math concepts. THIS IS A FOUR-WEEK CLASS. |

Two-Week Enrichment Class Offerings |

Creating Masks and Puppets |
Students will create
puppets and masks from a variety of materials. At the
end of the session, students will share a short puppet
play with parents and students as our audience. |

Drawing |
Students will draw: items
from nature, still life, self portraits, gesture,
landscapes, optical illusions, illustrations and more
using a variety of mediums (drawing tools). |

Explore Technology |
Explore the wonders of
technology and have FUN while learning Cyberstuff! SMART®
Boards, recording and editing with the computer and iPod®,
podcasting, Kidspiration® software and much more!

Learn some Spanish this
summer! Basic words, numbers, colors, conversation,
listening and speaking, etc.will be introduced through
songs, games, activities and projects to make. |

It's Alive! It's Alive! Story Telling |
Want to learn how to make
a story come to life? Who doesn’t! Come on in to this
story telling hub and you will find stories that have a
pulse, a heartbeat and blood circulating – they come
ALIVE! You will find a story that you love and learn
how to use voice, character dialog, facial expressions,
repetition and exaggeration to give your story life.
With lots of class practice, you will then perform your
story for an audience. Our relaxed atmosphere will teach
you to reach your audience with your own version of a
childhood favorite. Guest speakers and virtual field
trips. - join us…don’t let the stories die! |

Paper Study |
This
course will explore all aspects of paper in the arts.
Projects will include: paper making, Origami, box
collage, Kirigami, paper airplanes, celluclay, paper
weaving, paper sculptures, scratch paper and more! |

Poetry Beyond Form! |
Poetry writing is an art form. This class will explore
different forms of poetry and poets. Students will
produce their own poems and create a book of poetry.
Poetry writing improves student creativity, imagination
and expression. Students will need to be ready to
exercise the creative side of their brain with poetic
forms and expressive language. Students will leave with
a notebook of their creations! |

Rah, Rah Reptiles |
Learn all about reptiles…What is a reptile? Where do
they live? What do they look like? What do they eat?
How do they behave? A “snake hunt” might be fun! Sign
up and let’s find the answers to these questions… |

Sensational, Simple Scrapbooking |
Did you know you can use ordinary objects like paper
bags and school folders to create scrapbooks? Even
simple paper folding can be used to make a scrapbook!
Come learn how in this fun class where you can cut,
color, fold, stamp and design to help you share and
preserve your favorite memories. |

Theater for Fun |
Students will put on a small play, creating props,
learning lines, making costumes and scenery. At the end
of each session the group will present the play to
parents and the other students. |
