The 100th Anniversary Celebration publication, developed by DCMO BOCES and the Evening Sun, received a Special Purpose Publication Award of Merit from the New York School Public Relations Association (NYSPRA). The publication was one of 439 entries submitted to the 38th-Annual NYSPRA Communications Competition. The competition is judged by communications professionals around the country. According to NYSPRA, a bit more than one-third of the entries received awards.
The award will be presented at the NYSPRA’s luncheon during the New York State School Boards Association Convention to be held in Lake Placid, from Oct. 13-15, and the awards luncheon will be held Friday, Oct. 13.
District Superintendent Perry Dewey commented, “This publication is the result of a strong partnership with Snyder Communications and the Evening Sun team. It was also possible thanks to the financial support of our regional business partners who sponsored the publication. We are honored for the recognition from NYSPRA and very proud of our communications team who developed this concept.”
