Reed Receives the 2017 Marshman-Hall Commitment to Education Award

At the DCMO BOCES Opening Day event, retired Special Education Teacher and Training Specialist Celia Reed received the 2017 Marshman-Hall Commitment to Education Award. With this special recognition, the DCMO Board of Education commemorates the work of past board members, Dan Marshman and Bob Hall, who devoted their volunteer efforts to advancing educational opportunities for students in the region. District Superintendent Perry Dewey presented the award and shared comments from her nominator, Otego Teacher Kelli Hafele, “To know her is to love her. ” DCMO BOCES Board President Linda Zazeck commented, “The unanimous vote from the selection committee confirms that Celia has earned this award not only for her commitment to education, but also for her willingness to go beyond the call of duty to impact the lives of students.”
