Overview
Why it was started:
Schools looking for alternate management for their food program
Looking for a way to reduce continued yearly deficit
Wanted to keep staff as district employees
District Goals
Reverse the yearly deficit
Improve the quality of the food and service
Improve staff relations with faculty and staff
Responsibilities of the School Lunch Manager
All required filing of annual renewal and state forms
Free and Reduced applications
Required monthly reporting of reimbursement forms
Supervision of staff including:
Establishing hours
Assigning Duties
Training
All personnel issue
Evaluations
Ordering of food, beverages and equipment
Menu for lunch and breakfast
Developing new programs
Overall supervision of the program
Work with the business manager to monitor the budget
Assist auditors during the annual audit
Serve as part of the Administrative Council
